INTRODUCTION

The financing function includes the day-to-day concern for the use and control of funds as well as the long-range planning which involves the determining of the future requirement for funds and the optimum uses to which they may be put.

It can therefore, be seen that financing function includes the acquisition and the utilization of capital and the distribution of profits . Procedure for financing the various phases of the business is discussed below.

The main sources of financing are:

1. Personal saving

2. Borrowing from friends or relatives

3. Credit cards

4. Borrowing from Banks

5. Bank loans

6. Bank overdraft

7. Term loans

8. Lease finance

9. Venture investors

10. Government programs
